I gained an HND with Distinction in Calligraphy, Illumination and Heraldic Art  from Reigate School of Art in 1997.  I work as a freelance lettering artist from my studio in East Sussex.

Some clients : The National Archives, The Weald and Downland Museum, The Parkinson Disease Society, Balfour Beatty, United Grand Lodge of England, London Livery Companies, Uckfield Town Twinning Association, Nutley Windmill, Saracens Rugby Club, Molton Brown, Jo Malone, The College of Arms, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, King and McGaw, F G Marshalls, Mont Blanc, Burrells Jewellers, Claridges Hotel, Academy of Achievment (USA), Richmond Borough Council,  local churches and many private clients in the UK and abroad.

My love of letters, and passion for sharing my knowledge, resulted in being invited to teach classes. I encourage all folk into the fascinating world of "A - Z". My mantra is "Come in, come in!". I teach 2 weekly classes to my group "Weald Scribes" (see Events) and also offer monthly workshops. I welcome absolute beginners as well as those with experience.

I am passionate about all forms of lettering, on any media, from the classic to the contemporary. My specialty is working on manuscript calfskin vellum from William Cowley. I use the finest handmade papers (an ambassador for St Cuthbert's Mill) with ground Chinese stick  inks, designer gouache and gilding with gold (raised, flat and shell).
