Originally from Liverpool, Tina completed her schooling in Durban, South Africa. After leaving a career in the City of London she studied at Reigate School of Art and Design, Surrey. In 1997 she gained an HND with Distinction in Calligraphy, Heraldic Art and Illumination. She was awarded the Scriveners Company “Prize for achievement” by Donald Jackson MVO.

She is a member of the Uckfield Chamber of Commerce, CLAS, SSI, The Copperplate Special Interest Group, Cinque Port Scribes, South London Scribes Association, Society for all Artists, Lindfield Scribes and Sussex Scribes. She is actively involved with The Edward Johnston Foundation in Ditchling, Sussex. Past member of North Downs Calligraphers, Letter Exchange and Guild of Glass Engravers.

Exhibitions : The Garden Show in Firle, Bridge Arts in Uckfield, Lewes Craft Markets, Christmas Indulgence UCTC, Bridge Cottage Christmas Fayre, Bridge Cottage "Lest we Forget" , Fuller and Scott in Uckfield and solo exhibition at Bridge Cottage.

Tina works freelance from her studio in Nutley, East Sussex. She is a CLAS (Calligraphy and Lettering Arts Society) accredited tutor as well as PTTLLS (City and Guilds) qualified to teach in Adult Education. Tina teaches her own group classes (known as The Weald Scribes) and workshops in Ringmer, Uckfield and Crowborough in East Sussex. Stack 'em high!  - a workshop concentrating on using letters with no ascenders or descenders - Roman caps, uncials, pointed pen uncials, David Jones, Ben Shahn, Paul Peter Piech etc.

Double trouble!  - a workshop  split between playful broad edge and pointed pen scripts - Jubilee and Tina Kwerky (this can be taught over one or two sessions)
